You have to be careful when you play the veteran card, it doesn’t always work. Of course, it’s situation-dependent and if you’re actually acting like a total fuck-splash and expect to get away with it just because you’re a veteran, you should expect a rude awakening.
Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with asking for a military discount or getting a free meal at Applebee’s on Veteran’s Day. Hell, you may as well right? I went to California’s Great America yesterday, they offered veterans free admission and only charged $20 for each other member of your party to celebrate the 4th. A great deal, I might say, and I took advantage of it with success. There’s nothing wrong with anyone showing some gratitude to those that served and there’s certainly nothing wrong with accepting said gratitude, but seeing entitlement is annoying no matter who its coming from.

Otherwise, I hope everyone had a good holiday. Like I said, I spent mine at Great America. I rode rollercoasters all day and saw some fireworks at night and ate junk food. It was American as fuck and it was great.
