Every Marine has the universal experience of Marine Corps boot camp. Three months of recruit training sets the stage for new recruits entering the Corps, and its an experience that lasts a lifetime. Drill Instructors are so ubiquitous, so revered and feared that the mere sight of a smoky cover or the word “EYEBALLS” will make even the saltiest of wardogs freeze in their tracks.

Here’s an evil idea: what if we started bringing DI’s into the fleet experience more. Like, maybe a unit is repeatedly misbehaving or you just need to put the fear of god in them again. There should be a platoon of roving fleet Drill Instructors that get “deployed” to different units across the Corps that just fucks up their entire lives when they show up.

I should stop talking before this actually happens.
