Terminal Lance #277 “Late Nights”

You know how I talked about, before, the fact that officers always have really hot wives? Well, unfortunately that’s not usually true with the enlisted folk. Okay, it’s not always this bad, or ever, really. But still, it makes you wonder why some Staff NCO’s and the like would rather be around a bunch of 20 year old Lance Corporals all night instead of just going home. Just fucking go home.

Okay, I don’t really have much of a point here, I just really wanted to do this ridiculous strip. What’s funny about it is that there’s really no exposition whatsoever here; but every single Marine here knows exactly what this comic is about. Probably without even reading the second panel, you knew that this was “field day” in the barracks. I think it’s interesting that, as Marines, we’re able to instantly identify cultural markers without even so much as a background drawn in the panel.
